Application Process

If you have a weighted cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher, you are eligible to become a candidate for membership in the National Honor Society (NHS). NHS is the country’s premier organization established to recognize distinguished high school students who have demonstrated strengths in the areas of ScholarshipLeadershipService, and Character. If you believe you have contributed to the school in the form of club activities, athletics, arts, student government, community service, etc., and possess leadership skills, please complete the membership application (available for download below) with the necessary signatures.  
 
Those students with the strongest overall applications and interviews will be granted membership in NHS. Members will be expected to continuously challenge themselves to do more for our school and community and will be eligible to receive awards, honors at graduation, and special scholarships! 

All applicants will be reviewed fairly and equally.
 
To apply, you must turn in:
1) 4 Page Application
2) Transcript
3) Two Short Answers (250 words max for each)
 
 
 
Note: If a club advisor is not available, the club president may sign the application. If a coach is not available, someone from the office may sign the application (Mrs. Smith, Mr. Vandersluis, etc.)

2023-2024 Academic Year: Applications for New Members are due September 15, 2023 at 4pm.
