A-G
Helpful Hint: Go for that third (or extra) year!

UC only requires two years of the same language, but they recommend three. Why? It makes your application stronger, gives you a head start on college language classes, and can even check off graduation requirements before you get there.
  • Local Example at UC Irvine:
At UCI, you need to be proficient in a language other than English—either by finishing three quarters of college classes or by completing three years of the same language in high school with a C or better. Take that third year in high school, and you could graduate from UCI without having to take any more language classes.

UC requires three years of math for admission, but they recommend four. Taking math every year keeps your skills sharp, strengthens your application, and better prepares you for college—especially if you’re aiming for majors in science, engineering, business, or economics.
