Happy New Year and welcome back parents! We will have our monthly Parent Power School meeting on Wednesday, January 17th, 2018 at 6:00pm in the cafeteria. The topic is preparation for our WASC accreditation visit February 25th-February 28th, 2018. We hope to hear all parent concerns, what LQ is doing best, and ways that we can improve the schooling experience for your students! A second session is offered for our Vietnamese speaking parents on Thursday, January 18th, 2018 at 8:00am in the cafeteria.
Advanced Placement Exams will be administered in May 2018. Students received information about AP exams before Winter Break. The information included the AP Registration Instructions, AP Registration Form, AP Exam Schedule and the Bookstore AP Purchase Form which states the fee your student will pay for the exams.
The Princeton Review will be hosting SAT and ACT Preparation Courses here at La Quinta. SAT Preparation Courses will begin on February 24th through April 16th to prepare for the May or June 2018 SAT Exam. ACT Preparation Courses will begin on April 21st through June 2nd to prepare for the June ACT Exam. Classes will be offered from 3:00 PM-5:30 PM or 6:00 PM-8:30 PM one day a week and three Saturdays from 9:00 AM-1:30 PM.
Bring $50 CASH to the bookstore starting January 8th through February 9th. If you plan on enrolling in both the SAT and ACT classes, the total cost will $168.00. (The district will only discount one course. The regular fee for the course is $118.00)
