District and School Response and Impact Regarding the Corona Virus

Good morning La Quinta families, staff and students,

As many of you are aware, the news regarding the Corona Virus changes both daily and hourly. Here is the latest information so you are up to date as of February 1, 2021.

As a reminder:
*Be sure to wash your hands thoroughly and regularly
*Cough/sneeze into a tissue
*If you are feeling ill or have flu-like symptoms, please stay home

La Quinta RECOGNIZED by Common Sense Non-Profit

Common Sense, the national nonprofit organization dedicated to helping kids and families thrive in a world of media and technology, has recognized La Quinta High School as a Common Sense School. La Quinta is the first school in GGUSD to receive this honor. Click the headline to read more.


Attendance is taken during Distance Learning just as it is during on-campus learning. If your student is absent, you must call the Attendance phone number at 714-663-6344. Please clear absences within two days. There are personnel here to help you in English, Vietnamese and Spanish.

Common Application - Apply to Private Universities

The Common Application Online is a free online undergraduate application used by over 400 colleges and universities. Many private and out-of-state colleges and universities utilize the Common App as their admissions application. Please click here for full instructions on navigating the Common App.
