Cell Phone/Electronic Device Policy

ELECTRONIC DEVICES (including cell phones) must remain off and put away during class time unless permitted by the teacher. Teachers or other adult employees may confiscate a student's cell phone if the device is being misused or if the student fails to put the phone away upon a first request. Teachers may also collect cell phones as part of the classroom routine or on testing days.

 

LQHS & GGUSD assume no responsibility or liability for confiscated, lost, or stolen electronic devices. The school will not investigate reports of lost or stolen electronic devices. Students and parents will be encouraged to file a police report.  Phones are subject to search by administrators, with reasonable cause (discipline/safety reasons).
