¡Hola! Welcome to the beginning of an exciting new year at La Quinta! I am truly looking forward to teaching your child. I am very excited to be at La Quinta this year and am proud to be a part of this school community. For those of you who do not yet know me, I would like to share with you a little information about myself. I completed my undergraduate studies and teaching credential at CSU Long Beach. Over the last thirteen years I have lived, studied and worked in a variety of Spanish speaking countries including; Costa Rica, México, Nicaragua, Cuba, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Perú. I look forward to sharing my experiences with my students. I also want to congratulate you and your child for choosing to commence or continue taking another language. The ability to communicate in a second language not only enhances one's career opportunities, but it also helps develop and reinforce skills that are essential to academic study. On a personal level, knowledge of a second language has truly enriched my own life and I certainly hope that it will do the same for my students.
