Human Body Systems (HBS)
Course Description
HBS is the third course in the Biotechnology Pathway. Please note the prerequisite courses: Biology and Chemistry with a C or better. To earn a PLTW Medallion upon pathway completion, students must earn a B or better in HBS and BI (senior capstone course).
Students will actively explore, examine, and explain the science of the human body systems with the skeletal Maniken®; data acquisition software to monitor body functions such as muscle movement, reflex and voluntary action, and respiration; and take on the roles of biomedical professionals to solve real-world medical cases.
