The Collegeboard Advanced Placement exams will be administered at La Quinta High School beginning May 6, 2019 through May 17, 2019. Advanced Placement exams are offered in May for students who are enrolled in Advanced Placement classes. A student receives a score between 1 and 5. Students who earn a 3, 4 or 5 on an AP exam may submit their scores to the university or college that they attend to be awarded college units by those institutions.
If your student purchased an AP exam before November 15, 2018 they will be scheduled to take the exam. Please remind your student that they must be on time for the exam and bring their student ID card. After the exam begins no students will be allowed in the exam room. The student's exam will be cancelled.
Students must also remember to bring two number 2 pencils for the multiple choice section, two pens for the essay section and a watch to help monitor their time. They must also bring a calculator and a ruler if they are needed for the exam. Cell phones and electronic equipment are not allow in the testing room.
The AP exams have a scheduled break during the exam. Students may have snacks available to eat during the exam breaks. Students will not be allowed to leave the testing room during the school wide break period. Please remind your students to get a good night's sleep and eat breakfast on the day of the exam.
Thank you for your support in assisting your student to perform their best on the Advanced Placement exams. Please see the attached schedule for the day, time and location of each exam.
