I am looking forward to having a productive year with you. The following course outline and rules are to help you understand my expectations. Overall, you should know that you will be held accountable for your behavior, class materials, all assignments, and your grade. English 3P is a survey of American Literature from its foundations to the present. We will read both fiction and nonfiction from various historical periods. We will also cover writing strategies and the writing process in order to complete four major essay assignments during the year. Additionally, we will work on improving your vocabulary and grammar. This class will focus on making you a more effective reader, writer, speaker and thinker. Please attempt to be engaged and participate in class. This is what makes it fun and interesting!
