Here you'll find opportunities to earn a few extra credit points by participating in community events where you are sure to speak Spanish and learn about local Latino culture.
Primer evento-
Go to the 12th Annual Dia de los Muertos Celebration in Santa Ana, "Noche de Altares." Be sure to sacar una foto de los altares y one of yourself at the event. While there, walk around to admire the altares, listen and dance to the music, eat some food, and maybe pick up an artistic souvenir. But don't leave until you've asked someone; ¿Que es dia de los muertos? What does it mean to you?
Please write a half page reflection about the event in Spanish. Include the answer to the above question in your reflection.
