Welcome to Español my young Jedis!!!

¡Bienvenidos a la clase de español!
My parents always told me to be proud of my heritage and told me to hold on to it. I will always be thankful to my parents who left everything they knew to come to this great country I call home now. I became truly bilingual because Spanish was taught at home. My love of the language made me realize I wanted to become a teacher.
Although I was raised mostly in California, I will always have a special place for Mexico in my heart. I was inspired to further my studies by my family who was instrumental in my education. My uncle was a doctor, my aunt a lawyer and my grandfather an engineer. I always looked up to them and highly respected them for their wisdom and advice. My niece is also a teacher and I'd like to think I had something to do with that choice. Having studied in Spain, I found it life-changing and inspiring in many ways. It was an unforgettable experience that forever changed me and my outlook on life. EVERYONE studying a language should study abroad if they truly want to acquire any language and to cement their knowledge of what was learned in the classroom.
This year it will be my pleasure teaching you Spanish 1 and 2  in room 305. We will learn Spanish through games, songs, and fun activities which, will motivate you to use Spanish outside the classroom and beyond in a galaxy far, far away!!!!!! I look forward to getting to know you this year!!!
May your Growth Mind-Set force be with you, ALWAYS!
