About Mr. Aldous

Mr. Aldous was born and raised in Huntington Beach, he is a graduated of Marina High School. In 1995, he received his teaching credential at Brigham Young University and later completed his Master's degree from Aspen University. He started his teaching career in Palmdale at Littlerock High School. After three years of teaching and coaching (soccer and olleyball) he became an assistant coach of the men’s volleyball team at Cal State Northridge. However, he realized that teaching was his true passion and returned to teaching and coaching high school in 2000.

He enjoys working at "The Q" and especially working with the students. He has taught many art courses over the years such as Ceramics, Drawing and Painting, Exploratory Art, Cartooning, AP Art, and Photography/Digital Photography. His true passion is photography and has built a full program of five courses here at La Quinta. He currently advises the Photography Club and is the Visual Arts department chair. His teaching goals for students are to understand, appreciate, and love the world of art, no matter what medium.

He has been married to his wife Tracy since 2004. They started their family in 2008 and have two boys, Austin and Wyatt. In addition, he and his wife run a wedding and portraiture photography business www.aldousphotography.com He enjoys the outdoors, sports (especially volleyball) and traveling outside of the U.S. You can find him many mornings in the summer playing beach volleyball down by the pier.
