Advanced Placement Exams will be administered during May 2017 from May 1, 2017 through May 12, 2017.

Students will receive AP exam information in January 2017. The information will include an AP Bulletin which contains important information regarding AP Exam policy and procedures. You may also go to collegeboard.org to learn more about each exam. Students will receive AP Registration information and an AP Test Application to be turned in by January 19, 2017 to Ms. FitzRandolph in the Guidance Office.

Students may purchase AP exams in the bookstore starting January 23, 2017 through March 3, 2017. In January the students will receive a "Bookstore AP Purchase Form". The student must have the form when they purchase their exams in the bookstore. The form will list the AP exams that correspond to the student's AP classes. The student may cross off an exam or they may add an additional exam to the form. The fee for each AP exam is $93.00. Students who receive Free or Reduced Lunch qualify for a fee reduction of $5.00 for each exam. Students will pay $93.00 or $5.00 for each exam. Cash or checks will be accepted at the bookstore. Checks may be payable to La Quinta High School.
Students who sign up for exams and then cancel after the AP order has been submitted in March will have to pay a cancellation fee. In addition, if a students signs up for a exam and does not show for the exam, there is an additional unused exam fee. Requests for AP exam after the order has been submitted in late March will have an additional $55 fee. These fees are charged to the school by the Educational Testing Service.
