$250 Scholarship Application
Description:
The purpose of the Vietnamese LQPA Scholarship Program is to support the post-secondary plans of a deserving Vietnamese student(s) whose parent has been a member of the Vietnamese LQPA. The scholarship is designed to assist a student(s) who has excelled academically and been involved in school through the extra-curricular program. It is our belief that well educated student should be scholar and should also be learning and contributing through the club and/or athletic program at La Quinta High School.
Criteria for Selection:
1. The student must be a senior
2. The student must have a parent who is a member of the Vietnamese LQPA
3. The student must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA (attach transcript to back of this
application).
4. The student must be an active member in an co/extra-curricular activity on campus
(attach verification by advisor or coach to the back of this application).
5. The student must submit a 200-300-word essay; typed, double-spaced, explaining
their role in the co/extra-curricular activity on campus and what they learned (attach to back of this application).
6. The application/essay must be submitted to Ms. Grelle by April 4, 2014

Description:
The purpose of the Vietnamese LQPA Scholarship Program is to support the post-secondary plans of a deserving Vietnamese student(s) whose parent has been a member of the Vietnamese LQPA. The scholarship is designed to assist a student(s) who has excelled academically and been involved in school through the extra-curricular program. It is our belief that well educated student should be scholar and should also be learning and contributing through the club and/or athletic program at La Quinta High School

The student must submit a 200-300-word essay; typed, double-spaced, writing a complete research about a thing, an animal, a matter, or an event that student has interested in it OR explaining a social factor of existing life that has influenced students life and how (attach to back of this application).
5. The application/essay must be submitted to Ms. Grelle by April 4, 2014
