About Mr. Alexander

I am entering my 8th year teaching English at La Quinta High School. Along teaching, I have also coached in the varsity football program for 7 seasons serving as the offensive line coach, offensive coordinator, and defensive coordinator. I grew up in Huntington Beach and have lived in Southern California most of my life. After playing football at Goldenwest College, I earned a scholarship to play at Hastings College, a small school in Nebraska, where I earned my degree in English. Upon returning to California, I completed the course work for teaching credentials in English and for special education. I am married with one child, a boy of 17 months. He is the light of my life, but takes after his mother. Good luck to all those entering my class. I hope to make it a valuable experience that you will take with you for the rest of your life.
