Expanded Learning Opportunities
Before School Tutoring and Study Skills
Monday - Friday 7:15 AM - 5:00 PM
Library and Media Center (LMC)
Students have the opportunity to utilize the Library and Media Center (LMC) computers and printers to complete class work. Students can work together or individually on their coursework. Peer Tutors are available before and after school daily to assist students with their coursework. LQHS faculty and staff are available to assist the students with their work and help with study skills and work habits. Counselors and College Boost are available to assist students with the College application process including completing college applications, FAFSA and student portals.
Wellness Center (Room 408)
Students are given the opportunity to learn about and practice strategies for reducing anxiety, managing stress and increasing mindfulness. The Wellness Center is located in room 408 and is open before school and after school: 7:30am - 8:30am and 3:30pm -4:30pm.
Apex
APEX courses are offered during the Semester before school and after-school to allow students to validate a course they have taken in a previous semester. We offer course selections based on student need. Courses are taken online with the guidance of a credentialed teacher. Students are contacted if they qualify for this opportunity. The schedule for the Apex classes are listed below:
Room 606: Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 6:55 am - 8:15 am
Room 709: Monday & Tuesday 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Room 209: Monday & Wednesday 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm
