3. To launch your application, sign in to your CaliforniaColleges.edu account.
4. All application launch features on CaliforniaColleges.edu can be found from the top menu bar.
From the homepage, hover over the Financial Aid tab at the top.
5. A menu will appear with financial aid-related platform features.
Under the Apply for Financial Aid header, click Launch FAFSA or CADAA from CaliforniaColleges.edu.
6. This will take you to the Financial Aid Lessons page. This is your homepage for all of the financial aid lessons and tools.
From here, click the yellow Launch FAFSA/CADAA button. This button will only appear on the page during the application window.
7. If you haven't already selected the FAFSA or CADAA by completing Financial Aid Lesson 1, you'll be asked to select the right application for you.
If you did complete Financial Aid Lesson 1 and selected an application, you can skip to Step 9 .
8. Click Launch FAFSA or Launch CADAA after making your selection.
9. Here's what happens when you click the Launch button.
If you are completing the FAFSA, you’ll be taken to studentaid.gov, where you can create your Federal Student Aid ID, begin filling out your application, or access an application you've started.
10. If you are completing the California Dream Act Application (CADAA), you’ll be taken to the California Student Aid Commission’s California Dream Act page, where you can begin filling out the application or access an application you've started already.

1. How to Launch Your Cal State Apply Application
In this tutorial, we'll cover how to launch your Cal State Apply application from CaliforniaColleges.edu. You can launch your application at any time before you submit your application.
2. Here's how to link your account. First, sign in to CaliforniaColleges.edu.
3. Next, click on College in the top menu bar.
4. Select California State University Application from the dropdown menu.
5. In the box that appears, click Confirm to be taken to Cal State Apply.
The application will open in a new tab.
6. Sign in to your existing Cal State Apply account or create a new one. Once you've signed in, your accounts will be linked.
You only need to sign in once for your account to be linked.
7. If you create a new account, you will see this screen next. This does not apply to students applying as first time freshman.
High school students should select Don't Copy, Start a New Application.
8. You can now continue to fill out your application. If you need to stop, you can sign back into your account later to continue.
9. If you have questions about using the Cal State Apply application, click on the Question Mark icon at the top of any Cal State Apply page to access the Help Center.

2. To start, navigate to CaliforniaColleges.edu and sign in to your account.
Then, click on College in the top menu bar
3. Select California State University Application from the dropdown menu.
4. If it is your first time logging in from the platform, this box may appear. Click Confirm to be taken to Cal State Apply.
The application will open in a new tab where you can sign in to your existing Cal State Apply account or create a new one.
5. Once you have signed in to your Cal State Apply account, click the Academic History square.
6. Then, click High Schools Attended.
7. Beneath the CaliforniaColleges.edu logo, click Show Me How.
8. Click the blue Import button to import your courses and grades into Cal State Apply.
9. Once your information has been imported, you will see a pop-up window confirming that the import went through successfully. Click Continue.

11. To begin your review, click the High School Coursework tab on the left side of the screen to view the courses and grades that have been imported.
Make sure to read the instructions and review your courses and grades carefully.
12. As you review your imported courses, you may have courses that require manual entry or adjustments.
To see them, navigate to CaliforniaColleges.edu, and click on My Plan in the top menu bar.
13. Select the CSU Eligibility Tool from the dropdown menu.
14. Here you can view the courses that are listed with a green tag, meaning they are verified A-G courses with a grade of C- or better.
These courses import into Cal State Apply. Ensure that they have all been imported.

16. You can also view the courses that are listed with a red tag, meaning they are verified A-G courses with a grade of D or lower.
These courses also import into Cal State Apply. Ensure that they have all been imported.
17. If you see courses with a yellow tag at the bottom of the CSU Eligibility Tool, you will need to take action to ensure they are entered correctly in your CSU application.
If you have questions about these courses, talk to your counselor.
18. Some courses with a yellow tag will not import into your CSU application, such as dual-enrollment courses or courses taken outside of California.
Use the instructions within the CSU application to enter these courses manually.
19. Some courses with a yellow tag will import into your CSU application, but you will need to manually assign them an A-G subject area.
We'll discuss how to do that next.

21. Navigate back to your Cal State Apply application, and click on A-G Matching from the left-hand menu.
22. Review the A-G Subject Totals table. This table is made up of courses that have been successfully imported and pre-verified.
The table corresponds to the courses with green and red tags on the CSU Eligibility Tool in CaliforniaColleges.edu.
23. As previously mentioned, you may have a yellow-tagged course that has been imported into Cal State Apply, but needs to be assigned to an A-G subject area.
To do so, click on Update A-G Courses.
24. Use the box to the right under A-G to manually assign a yellow-tagged course an A-G subject area.
Once you have ensured that your Academic History section is complete and correct, click Save and Continue.
25. If you have questions about using the Cal State Apply application, click on the Question Mark icon at the top of any Cal State Apply page to access the Help Center.

1. How to Launch Your University of California Application
In this tutorial, we'll cover how to launch your UC application from CaliforniaColleges.edu. You can launch your application at any time before you submit your application.
2. Here's how to link your account. First, sign in to CaliforniaColleges.edu.
3. Next, click on College in the top menu bar.
4. Select University of California Application from the dropdown menu.
5. In the box that appears, click Confirm to be taken to the UC Application.
The application will open in a new tab.
6. Next, you will need to check an authorization box within the UC Application.
To do so, sign in to your existing UC account or create an account.
7. After providing basic information to create your account, you will be taken to the landing page for your application.
Select Start application.
8. In the About You section under Personal Information, answer the questions about your name, and your date and place of birth.
9. Under the "Have you ever attended a California public school?" question, select Yes.
10. After selecting Yes, a section will appear with a box for your Statewide Student Identifier (SSID). It will automatically appear in the box.
The SSID that appears comes from your CaliforniaColleges.edu data, which is supplied by your school district.
11. Next, select the authorization check box on the bottom of the Personal Information page.
THIS BOX MUST BE CHECKED in order for you to track your application status and, if you are in a Partner District, import your courses and grades.
12. If you had already started a UC Application and you forgot/missed this step, navigate to the Personal Information page of your existing application to ensure that your SSID number is correct and the authorization box is checked.
13. Click Save & continue.
Your accounts are now linked. You can continue to fill out your application. If you need to stop, you can sign back into your account later to continue.
14. If you have questions about using the UC Application, you can click the Help button at the top of any page on the UC Application.
