Mr. Leon was born in Vietnam, he left his country as a refugee at the age of five and spent the next three years in the Philippines and Malaysian concentration camps before making his way to California in 1989. After graduating from high school, Leon was honored with the prestigious Bill & Melinda Gates Millennium Scholarship in 2001, McDonalds Scholarship, and the Target Scholarship. While at Cal State University, Fullerton (CSUF) Leon studied abroad in London (2002-2003), taught English in Shanghai, China (2004), and earned his teacher's credential in 2006. Presently, Leon is teaching Vietnamese 1P and 2P at La Quinta High School.
