Students at La Quinta should dress within reasonable limits set by the styles and customs of the time and must not jeopardize the health or safety of the wearers or others or cause distraction to the educational process of the school. Clothing must be neat and clean and in proper taste. Any clothing that suggests alcohol, drug, or tobacco use, racial or general intolerance, gang involvement, or sexuality is forbidden. Students will be asked to change their attire or they will be sent home. Shoes must be worn at all times. Due to gang affiliation and identification, it has become necessary to restrict the wearing of head covering. Only La Quinta hats are permitted at school. Bandanas and wallet chains are prohibited.
