California Student Aid Commission
The California Student Aid Commission's website contains information on the state's financial aid programs, including Cal Grants.
Chase Bank
CHASE bank offers a countdown to college calendar, a Financial Aid 101 section, and more detailed information about your financial aid options including education loans.
College Scholarships
This site provides a wealth of links to 101 other sites that provide specific information on scholarships.
EdFund
EdFund provides information on federal student loans offered under the Federal Family Education Loan Program, along with a comprehensive question-and-answer section. There is also a great link on this page called EdWise that is an easy-to-use tool offering tips on planning and budgeting for college.
FAFSA
Information on the FAFSA will be available for seniors who will be attending college next fall at La Quinta's financial aid workshops. Every senior is strongly encouraged to attend one of these workshops. The FAFSA must be submitted between January 1 and March 2 each year.
Financial Advisor
Ask the advisor. This site leads you to free scholarship searches, loan calculators, scholarship scam alerts, strategies for maximizing aid eligibility, and comprehensive questions and answers.
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Use this site to the Department of Education to access the electronic version of the FAFSA and to obtain federal school codes. A Spanish version of the FAFSA is available. This site is also a great place to get your questions answered. To sign your FAFSA application on-line (e-sign), you and your parent will each need a PIN (Personal Identification Number). You may apply for a PIN by visiting the website www.pin.ed.gov . Save your application information and print out the confirmation page after you successfully submit your form. You should receive your Student Aid Report (SAR) and find out your expected family contribution (EFC) within one week after filing electronically.

Sallie Mae
By visiting Sallie Mae you can access a comprehensive Web site that contains several helpful college-financing features. The site includes college-planning calculators, Financial Aid 101, a tutorial that guides students through five financial aid lessons, and much more.
Social Security
This site leads assists you in any questions you may have regarding your Social Security Number and obtaining replacement cards. Remember - you must have a social security number to receive financial aid.
